An ultrasonic aerosol generator converts liquid disinfectant into an ultra-fine particle aerosol. The aerosol is injected into the chamber where particles dwell in place and kill the exposed pathogens.
Following the dwell period, circulation fans force the aerosol through recovery module where the aerosol is converted into the gas phase. The HP-PAA chemical bonds are destabilized and the chamber contents are dried.
During recovery, the humidity is condensed onto the cold surfaces. The remaining gasses are warmed and circulated through charcoal and HEPA filtration to remove acetic acid odors.
In the gas phase, the destabilized HP-PAA particle bonds break down rapidly. The remaining PAA chemistry completely dissociates to it's base components water, oxygen and carbon.
